WILL YOU BE OUR VALENTINE?
The Making Changes organization is an amazing charity in Calgary which has been helping women in transition since 1981. Over 1,000 women are helped each year by this compassionate resource, which provides professional styling advice, work appropriate clothing and employment and life skills programs for women getting into or returning to the workplace.
Making Changes Programs help women who face challenges on various fronts; women who are new Canadians, who face financial barriers, and who may be transitioning from shelters, imprisonment, abusive relationships or illness. They are in a moment of their lives where they need to leave part or their complete life behind. The first step is the most difficult, yet the most important to start a new life. This is all possible, thanks to people like YOU!
ON THIS VALENTINE’S DAY, PLEASE CONSIDER MAKING A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION
Your contribution will help these women through our two core programs:
- Employment and Life Skills Program, which offers training in career planning, communication, job search and interview skills,
- The Walk-In Closet, which offers one-on-one consultations and complete work-appropriate outfits to women, helping them to look their professional best.
We are hoping that you will SHARE THE LOVE THIS VALENTINE’S DAY and contribute in one of the following ways:
- A $50 donation will ensure that 10 women receive an Image Tips Guide that provides essential information on appropriate workplace attire.
- By donating $130, you can give one woman in need a personal consultation session at the Walk-In Closet.
- Your $500 donation funds one immigrant woman to attend a 6-week Employment and Life Skills Program.
PLEASE BE A VALENTINE TO A WOMAN IN OUR COMMUNITY THAT NEEDS YOUR HELP!
Help these women take the first step to their new life; help to make them fel empowered, productive and fulfilled!
