There are a few things I wanted to share with you today....so hence, the random thoughts!

I attended the Women of Influence Luncheon today - 820 women attended to acknowledge the winners from the last 12 months.  They were from all walks of life, a variety of occupations with one common thread.... they were all immensely inspiring, giving, talented, smart, funny, real women, who live real lives.  These events are opportunities for reflection - while we all feel we are contributing as much as possible - these events remind us of how much more we could do.  One comment I heard today was "With all these talented women in the room over lunch, I wonder who is running Calgary while they are here?"  LOL, you gotta love the sisterhood that is created during these times.....

I'm often asked "Who does your hair?" and "Where do you get your glasses?"  Regardless of what topic I might be writing or talking about, these continue to be the most asked questions!  Well, Swizzlesticks is where I get my hair done.  Brass Monocle is where I get my glasses.  They are both advertisers on our site, so please support their cause and click on the ads to get to their sites.  What I love about both companies is quite easy - GREAT customer service; GREAT product knowledge; and, GREAT products.  I don't want to look like everyone else on the street and I want to be treated with respect and most of all, I want someone who understands what they are selling and WHY.  I can absolutely give both of these locally owned companies the "asknancy Stamp of Approval".

Just received my first Paris Vogue - thanks to my wonderful husband and his Christmas Stocking gift - it's mailed from Melbourne, Australia.  Don't you find that a bit of a conundrum??
